Backups & restores

Backups are included with every plan. They are the safety net for accidents, griefing, or a bad mod update.

Create a backup

1. Open your server in the panel.
2. Go to Backups.
3. Press Create backup, give it a name (e.g. "before-1.21-update").
4. Wait for the status to show Completed. Large worlds take longer.

Restore a backup

1. Backups -> find the backup -> Restore.
2. Confirm. This replaces your current world with the backup — anything built after the backup was taken is lost.
3. Start the server again when the restore finishes.

Tip: create a fresh backup before restoring, so you can undo the restore.

How we protect your data

• We keep automatic backups on a schedule.
• Copies are also kept on a second, off-site host, so a single machine failure doesn't lose your world.
• We test that backups can actually be restored (a backup you can't restore isn't a backup).
